4-Day Trip To Bangkok (Thailand)

I’ve just finished a 4-day trip to Bangkok with my colleague. My sister should have come with us if she hadn’t been ill due to the latest attack of Bell’s palsy.

Thailand infrastructure is kinda more modern than Vietnam, but there were so many traffic jams caused by cars. However, I liked their metro/BTS system.

For 4 days, I thought I have traveled half of Bangkok (the left wing on the map). I visited the backpacker area Khaosan (near the hotel), the floating market, the famous night market Chatuchak, the Wat Pho temple complex, the Chinatown, passed by The Grand Palace, and saw the Wat Arun from the opposite bank of the river.

The Damnoen Saduak Floating Market looked more fun and organized than those floating markets in Vietnam.

On day 3, I visited the 3 Siam (Discovery, Center, and Paragon) and Big C. I bought some things in Big C because the price there was acceptable.

Most of my activities were eating Thai food (which was delicious, and not very spicy), and window shopping.

I took Uber, Grab, and taxi while I didn’t take the BTS or walk. I hadn’t tried the bus service. It looked old and I didn’t seen the number of the bus I needed to take.

Next time, I’ll try shopping at the duty center, other markets on the right wing of Bangkok. I’ve heard that shopping there is cheaper. And will use the Thailand in hand guidebook.

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market

This was the first time I’ve been to Thailand, and this country surprised me somehow. Before coming to this country, I thought it would be like Cambodia with a better view. But I changed my mind. I really liked Bangkok, and Khaosan Road was not just another Bui Vien.

Today I went to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market with my colleague. I tried the various food it had to offer and took some pictures. Sitting on a boat to travel through the market felt a lot better than in Vietnam. Though it was more like a tourist attraction than a traditional market, I felt I should try another floating market the next time. This was the best place I’ve visited in this trip.
