Zi Wei Dou Shu Constellation: Wu Tan Tong Xing
The Wu Tan Tong Xing (武贪同行) constellation refers to Tan Lang and Wu Qu positioned in the Dragon, Dog, Ox or Sheep/Goat palace, either guarding or aspecting the Life palace or the Body palace.
There are two main configurations:
– Life palace and Body palace in Ox or Sheep/Goat position, with both Wu Qu and Tan Lang present.
– Wu Qu and Tan Lang in Dragon or Dog, with one star in the Life palace and the other in the Body palace.
For this formation to be good, the opposite and triangle palaces of the Life palace must have auspicious stars present. It is especially favorable if accompanied by Lu Cun, Zuo Fu, You Bi, Wen Chang, Wen Qu, Tian Kui, Tian Yue, and other beneficial transformations, as well as Tan Lang in the same palace with Huo Xing, Ling Xing.
A chart with this configuration, if following a civil career, can rise to high office; in a military path, can hold great command; and in business, can become immensely wealthy. However, in most cases, early life brings struggles, rising from poverty to wealth, and true prosperity only arrives after age 30.
Strengths:
– Civil career: rise to high rank
– Military career: command authority
– Business: great fortune
Weakness:
– Early years often difficult; only after 30 does fortune flourish
An ancient verse says:
“Wu Qu and Tham Lang in full dignity, a noble sign indeed
Surely to be a high official holding great power
In letters, one ascends to high and honored posts
In arms, a valiant general defending the borders”
